Six Weeks

6 Feb

This is how weeks four through six have gone. Scream. Feed. Scream some more. Sleep (maybe). Repeat.

And the crying? Shuts down my brain. Thank goodness for a husband who manages to calm both of us down.

But colic? Nope. Milk imbalance. So all I have to do is pump 2-4 ounces before each feed. Which is so convenient when you’re out in public or have a hungry baby hollering at you. But – it turns screamy baby into a happy one. So I’m genuinely grateful to have some way to deal with my massive milk oversupply.

The toddler? Is finally settling into a new routine. The tantrums have calmed down and she ADORES her baby sister.

I have hope this will get easier. But for now, we’re in survival mode. And that is okay. It has to be. I mean come on. Look at that face – even furious she’s still irresistible.

Oh that sounds so familiar, survivalmode, it felt like I went through it all sleepwalking.
But babies grow up, fast! You will soon have some time to yourself, time to breath..
And you are SO right, she is cute!!!
